Board of Trustees Meeting
Fairlee Library
November 14, 2018

In attendance: Cyrie Lange, Samantha Hickman, Charlotte Williams, Joy Weale

  1. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Cyrie Lange.
  2.  Minutes of the September 13th meeting were accepted.
  3.  Librarian’s Report:

          -35 people in attendance at Movie night.
          -Samantha brought free books from the Directors Summit.    
          She plans to join a group that circulates large print books,
          this is free.
          -Red Clover conference will be November 17th.
          -Budget meeting went well. Paving would go into Capital Budget, 
          though we probably will not get the full $21,000. We were asked
          to get rough estimate for three types of siding and for our to do list of interior and exterior projects
          -Carpets have been cleaned, though there are some new spots from movie night.
          Only clear drinks will be served from this point on. Samantha will call around for carpet replacement estimates.
          -Preschool came to the library on Halloween for story time, also Bunny Steps visited.
          -Samantha met with other OneCard libraries. She has made a new brochure and will start encouraging more people to
           enroll and is considering offering the OneCard to Orford and Thetford folks who use the Fairlee Library.
          -LUV luncheon is next Monday.
          -All-Access sent a quote for a new firewall/wifi license setup. This is certainly not in our budget at this point.
          We might have their network person come in to tune up our existing system. Samantha will try to set that up this
          year.

4. Treasurer’s Report: Some money is left in the budget for children’s books, so Samantha will order more. Lisa and Charlotte will probably not get to looking at the small donations fund before the end of the year. Trustees Report is due December 10th. Cyrie will be working on that.

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM. Next meeting will be January 9th. Budget review will be 6 PM Monday January 7th.
