Board of Trustees Meeting

Fairlee Library

February 6th, 2018

Call to order was at 7:15 by Chair Joel Adamson

In attendance: Samantha Hickman, Charlotte Williams, Ammie Collins, Joel Adamson.

Guests: Tim Danen, Lisa Hinsley

Minutes of January 9th Meeting were approved unanimously.

1) Librarian’s Report

Wish list: $336 in cash donations plus several books
First Donuts With Your Grown-ups went well.
Preschool students are the featured artists
Samantha will apply for a grant for Summer Reading Program.
Friday Feb 9th Orange County Regional Librarians meeting.
Outside door does not close, but there is no easy fix. It should work fine again in warmer weather.
Friends of the library now has Anne Taylor as president.
Non-fiction weeding is continuing.

2) Treasurer’s Report: still nothing to report, until after Town Meeting.

3) Other Business: Tim Danen’s report–new windows will be ~$6500. Labor and additional materials will be extra. Tim brought in demonstration frames to show what the new bay window sets will look like. They will be vinyl blend on the outside, no mullion strips on the inside. He plans to stay within the budget proposal.

Lisa Hinsley–came in with notes about assorted designated funds; she would like additional information. This will be a ‘research project’ of a kind. Samantha found some records which will be useful. Lisa and Charlotte will meet at the library to look at these.

4) Next Trustees Meeting: Tuesday March 13th at 7 PM.
