Call to Order: 8:00 AM 

Frank J. Barrett, Jr., Chair, called the meeting to order.

A quorum was met.

• Selectboard Members: Frank J. Barrett, Jr., Chair; Peter Berger, Vice Chair; and Cathy McGrath
• Town Administrator: Tad Nunez
• Town Treasurer: Lisa Hinsley
• Lister: Noel Walker

Agenda:

To set the Fairlee Tax Rate

After the initial tax rate was approved by the Selectboard at their regular meeting on 8/20/2018, it was determined the formulation of determining the tax rate was flawed.  The initial rate set for the Veteran’s Local Agreement was set too high. Therefore, an emergency meeting was called, to assure the tax notices would be sent out in a timely manner.                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Discussion pursued on the formatting and recalculating of the tax rate to confirm the appropriate rate was established.

The new proposed recalculated total Town tax rate is 0.5613

MOTION: Peter Berger / Cathy McGrath moved /seconded the motion to approve the re-calculation of the Fairlee Tax Rate as proposed.  The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:  Jay Barrett/Peter Berger moved/seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
