Fairlee Receives Beach Wheelchair

On Monday, September 14, 2026, the Fairlee Selectboard celebrated the arrival of a new accessible beach chair!

The floating chair was awarded to the town by SMILE Mass, an organization based in Sudbury, Massachusetts, to make Fairlee Town Beach and the waters of Lake Morey more accessible to everyone.

This adaptive wheelchair can not only travel easily over sand but with the addition of the included pontoons can go in the water.
