Draft Minutes

In attendance: Cyrie Lange, Beth Reynolds, Charlotte Williams, Jen Johnson, Joy Weale, Stacey Dunham

1) The meeting was called to order at 7:04 PM by Cyrie Lange.

2) Minutes from February 9th meeting were approved as written on a motion by Stacey, seconded by Joy.

3) Librarian’s report (see attached): Beth is expecting a quote from Demco for the bookcases shortly. She will put together an application for a $2000 CLIF grant for the summer reading program. The state $300 summer grant requires careful paperwork; it would be simplest to use this for children’s books or possibly for an invited speaker. The topic this summer is Oceans. People are excited about the upcoming cookbook swap. About fifteen people have signed up to receive an Arbor Day tree.

4) Officers: Cyrie nominated Charlotte to continue as Recording Secretary, Jen as Treasurer, and Joy as Co-Chair with Cyrie. Approved unanimously.

5) Treasurer’s report: We have the records through the end of February. There are no line items that are unusually high.

6) New Business: Jen will investigate to make sure the $2000 grant is included in our budget lines or somehow resolved. We made plans for discussions with the Selectboard on Monday. Cyrie, Jen, Charlotte, Stacey and Misty plan to attend. We will all come up with bullet points for discussion and share them with each other.

We also would like to visit another library that has recently done renovation/expansion. Masking: Beth is watching the situation at the bookstore, Coop etc. For now masking in the library will continue. Linda Boutin has offered to help with the gardens.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM. Next meeting will be April 5th at 5:00 PM, in the library.
