CALL TO ORDER: 6:29 PM
Smith Reed, Vice Chair, called the meeting to order. A quorum was met.

 

REVIEW OF MINUTES
MOTION: Susanne Pacilio moved and Cathy McGrath seconded the motion to accept the Meeting Minutes from January 10, 2019, as written. The vote passed unanimously.

Town Plan Work: Kevin Geiger, TRORC
Kevin Geiger, contractor from Two Rivers−Ottaquechee Regional Commission, spoke about his draft revisions to the Transportation section of the Fairlee Town Plan. Geiger suggested the Fairlee Planning Commission review the section with him chapter by chapter and incorporate comments and ideas from the Town Planning Party/Charette held on January 17.

At the next meeting, the Planning Commission discussed focusing on the Energy section of the Town Plan. Geiger suggested addressing the goal of increasing use of solar and hydro energy production to meet the State of Vermont goals under Act 56, relating to establishing a renewable energy standard.

Postmortem of January 17 Public Event
Chris Brimmer presented aggregate data regarding transportation concerns expressed at the charrette event, which included nonvehicular street solutions, such as building sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and walking/hiking trails. Brimmer suggested planning another public event in March to discuss other sections of the Town Plan.

MOTION: Susanne Pacilio moved and Denis Lambert seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
