Commission Members: Smith Reed, Chair; Miranda Clemson, Vice Chair; Sarah Berger; Tim Danen; Susanne Pacilio; Denis Lambert

CALL TO ORDER: 6:03 PM

Smith Reed called the meeting to order. A quorum was met.

AGENDA MODIFICATIONS

None

REVIEW OF MINUTES
MOTION: Tim Danen moved and Susanne Pacilio seconded the motion to accept the Meeting Minutes from September 5, 2019, as written. The vote passed unanimously.

LISTENING SESSION LETTER
Chris Brimmer noted that the Listening Session Letter summarizing the event was sent to the State House delegation: Representative Sarah Copeland Hanzas, Senator Jane Kitchel, and Senator Joe Benning. The Planning Commission members were copied and reviewed the letter. Discussion ensued.

OCTOBER PUBLIC HEARING PLANNING
The members discussed the Town Plan, and Brimmer stated that no changes can be made to the Town Plan until the Public Hearing takes place on Thursday, October 10, at 7:00.

[Denis Lambert entered the meeting at 6:18 PM]

Brimmer noted that a Conservation Commission proposed in the Town Plan can raise money, unlike other boards or commissions in the Town, except for Fairlee Community Arts (FCA). Brimmer congratulated Denis Lambert for his work on FCA.   

There was a consensus among the members that a 1- or 2-page executive summary of the 2019 Town Plan draft be created for the Public Hearing in order to highlight the changes from the 2014 Town Plan.

MOTION: Tim Danen moved and Sarah Berger seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
