Meeting Minutes

Auditors present: Angelia Rorison, Larry Martin, and Sandra Smith-Ordway

Meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m.

2) Town Report Survey Results

Town Auditors review and tally survey results. Outcomes show that an overwhelming majority of respondents choose to continue  receiving via mail.

3) Annual Report

Printer

Printer decision, all auditors in favor to: use RC Brayshaw in lieu of RePro Graphics. Decision to be sent to Fairlee Town Administrator (Sandra Smith-Ordway)

Schedule

Reports are scheduled to be sent to Auditors from the Town Clerk on Monday, Dec. 16.

Layout

Sandra to review VT Auditor Handbook and get all required entries into Annual Report. Discussion of word limits to be placed on town reports, Auditors all in favor of adoption. Request will be made to the Town Clerk to input word limits with deadlines to committees and departments. Angelia to review text and create template for submissions to reflect word count limit.

Page Counts

Move Auditor report to first report to note and explain changes to this year’s report. Auditors agree that order of reports should be Auditor, Select board and then all subsequent reports will be filed in alphabetical order. Additionally, it was discussed whether the warning should be moved forward in the report. Auditors will have further discussion with Town Clerk.

4)  Review Financials

Sandra reviewed June – July 2019 Angelia to review August-Sept.

5) Other business

Next meeting will be Dec. 17
