06-10-2020 Library Board Meeting

In attendance: Cyrie Lange, Samantha Hickman, Charlotte Williams, Jen Johnson, Joy Weale

1. The meeting was called to order at 7:07 PM by Cyrie Lange.

2. Minutes of May 13th meeting were approved unanimously, on a motion by Cyrie, seconded by Jen.

3. Librarian’s Report: See attached, also Samantha’s re-opening plan. Opening day will be Wednesday June 17th. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the library will close 30 minutes early so Samantha can clean and sanitize. Saturdays will still be 9-12. All returns must be made through the outside book drop. In addition, the Trustees agreed that the Library will be closed for Samantha’s vacation week in August. Samantha will send the Library’s disaster planning list to the Trustees for our review. This will need to be updated. Curbside pickup: 554 checkouts, less than half what we did last year. No book sale this year.
4. Treasurer’s Report: Less than 40% of the 2020 budget has been spent as of the end of May.

5) Old Business: We will review the By-laws before the next meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 8:10 PM. Next meeting will be July 8th at 7 PM, in the library, with masks and distancing.
