Board of Trustees Meeting
Fairlee Library
June 12, 2019

In attendance: Cyrie Lange, Samantha Hickman, Charlotte Williams, Crystal Champagne

1. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by Cyrie Lange.
2. Minutes of May 1st meeting were approved without changes.
3. Librarian’s Report:

–Story Time is almost done for the year; should be popular next year as well.

–Southern Vermont Natural History Museum will be here Saturday July 6th with a live animal/story show.

–Friends of the Library will help pay for the Bouncy House.

–Help is needed to help set up the Book Sale.

–5th graders are coming in after school. We have no legal liability for children left at the library unattended by their parents.

–Summer Reading Program is completely planned and will be fun and very busy!

–Statistics: door count is up but circulation is down.

4) Treasurer’s Report:

Charlotte will go to Town Hall and urge Lisa to commit to a time to meet and discuss individual funds.

New Business:

–Samantha has a yoga mat which can be circulated.

–A lead test has been done.

–An energy audit was done in the past. Samantha will forward it to Tad Nunez and the Selectboard. Some foam was installed in the basement. Samantha will also ask Steve Brown to walk around the library and see if he can determine what has been addressed.

–The door-painting has been done except for one door, which will be done this month (thank you, Cyrie!). The avocado paint can be sold at the Book Sale. Ken will install the door kick plates.

–We could use the donation ($300) from the Lake Morey Protective Association for some new rugs.

–Blinds are installed, thank you Peter Lange!

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM. Next meeting will be August 14th.
