Board of Trustees Meeting
Fairlee Library
August 14, 2019

In attendance: Cyrie Lange, Samantha Hickman, Charlotte Williams, Crystal Champagne, Jen Johnson, Joy Weale

1. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Cyrie Lange.
2. Minutes of June 12th meeting were approved without changes.
3. Librarian’s Report:

–Summer Reading Program great success.

Credit card for the library: this has been recommended by Lisa Hinsley. The Trustees voted unanimously in favor of getting a credit card for Samantha’s use. This will replace petty cash. September 4th will be a talk on the Connecticut River.

4) Treasurer’s Report: We are over budget on mileage. We should add money to the proposed budget for next year, to cover mileage expenses of invited performances. Paula will start garden maintenance this week. Samantha will ask Lisa if Paula needs to have her own insurance. Samantha found file folders on donations. Charlotte will take them to Lisa for review and digitizing.

New Business:

Should we have a policy covering donations vis-a-vis stipulations on how it should be spent? For future discussion.

We sorted through two boxes of old documents. Charlotte will contact Lisa to meet and discuss.

Meeting adjourned at 8:15 PM. Next meeting will be September 11th.
