Summer concert photoshoppedFairlee is a town of about a thousand people. We have a pretty lively downtown village area with restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, post office and library and many other businesses. Our town hall building is on the register of historic places and has an upstairs auditorium space with historic painted curtain available for events. Stop by the Town Hall to pick up your physical Welcome Packet! Our town staff are ready to help you with any questions you might have.

Fairlee has an active town list-serv for announcements, questions, lost pets, items for sale etc.  Subscribe Here

Non-municipal Facebook pages and groups with information about town happenings are: Fairlee Recreation Council, Fairlee Community Arts, Fairlee Vermont Community and Fairlee Police Department

The Fairlee Public Library is across School Street from the Post Office and offers open wifi 24/7 in the parking lot. See the library website for open hours.


Organizations and Committees:
There is always a need for people to serve on Town Boards and Committees. Contact Ryan Lockwood, our Town Administrator, for information.
Consider becoming part of the Fairlee Fire Department.

Fairlee has an active arts organization: Fairlee Community Arts that puts on a summer concert series on the Common as well as wintertime events in the Town Hall Auditorium. FCA is always looking for volunteers and board members. www.fairleearts.org

Fairlee Gardeners: ad-hoc group devoted to gardening projects in the town center and can always use people: www.fairleegardeners.org

Commuter service:

River Route runs between Wells River & WRJ/Lebanon/Hanover area Monday – Friday. incl. directly to DHMC

Bradford Area Circulator

Monday - Wednesday - Friday: regular service between Bradford & Wells River
Tuesday - Thursday: regular service between Fairlee and Bradford

No passenger trains run through Fairlee but at least one freight train goes through every day.
